At the time of writing Jon Hodgson is in his mid 30s and lives in Scotland, UK though he happens to have been born south of the border in England. So far in his short career (Ten or so years full time at the last count) Jon has made over 150 pieces of card art for collectable card games, solo illustrated 15 books with 30 plus illustrations each for Warhammer Historical, has provided cover art for some 30 gaming books as well as numerous pieces of packaging art, made illustrations for the biggest roleplaying game in the world - Dungeons and Dragons, as well as for some of the smallest. At one point he was a story boarder for the children's animated show Bob the Builder.
Jon trained as a "fine artist", specialising in abstract painting. Apparently.
Jon uses an Apple iMac (Dual 3.03, 4 gigs of RAM), Adobe Photoshop, Ambient Design ArtRage, Corel Painter X, a Wacom Intuos 3, and a lot of coffee. As well as pencils and paper, and very occasionally actual real paint.
